Yovin is an UKRI EPSRC funded PhD student supervised by Dr. Michela Antonelli, Prof. Sebastien Ourselin and Prof. Vicky Goh. His research focuses on developing deep learning models for detecting and diagnosing Prostate cancer in active surveillance using MRI, and ultimately predict disease progression.

Yovin has previously worked as a Data Scientist at Roche, where he gained experience with medical imaging and machine learning. Before that, he was a Research Engineer at John Keells Holdings in Sri Lanka, where he worked on projects involving electronics, the Internet of Things (IoT), and image processing applications.
