Dr. Piyalitt Ittichaiwong, MD, is a PhD candidate in Biomedical Engineering & Imaging Sciences at King’s College London, where he applies multimodal large language models (MLLMs) tailored for medical image segmentation and downstream prediction tasks. His current work focuses on segmenting relevant structures in whole-body MRI, particularly in multiple myeloma, and leveraging the segmentation outputs to predict patient outcomes and disease progression. By combining generative and vision-language modeling with radiomic and structural segmentation, he aims to identify prognostic biomarkers derived from spatial heterogeneity within marrow lesions. His research bridges state-of-the-art MLLMs for segmentation with clinical MRI pipelines, translating cross-modal inference into actionable prognostic tools.
