Mehmet Yigit Avci is a PhD student at King’s College London, funded by DRIVE-Health and deepc GMBH. His research focuses on developing AI-powered solutions for medical imaging, with particular emphasis on MRI analysis, unsupervised learning, and multi-modal medical data processing. He aims to create intelligent systems that can automatically optimize imaging protocols, enhance diagnostic accuracy across various medical imaging modalities, and support more informed clinical decision-making.

Avcı began his academic journey with a bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bogazici University, where he explored medical imaging applications, and worked on MRI reconstruction. He then earned a master’s degree in Biomedical Computing from the Technical University of Munich, further developing expertise in AI and medical image analysis. During this time, he spent two years at deepc GMBH, working on AI-driven medical imaging solutions, gaining experience in practical applications of machine learning in clinical radiology workflows.
